Core values - INHALE your way to success

It is important to have a few non-negotiable core values in leaders, which make them inspiring & impactful; they then create more leaders who exhibit their own strong core values and hence an upward spiral of birth & development of new leaders begins.

Here are own 6 core values that have helped me in career -
 
(1) INTEGRITY - This is a non-negotiable quality in top leaders as sooner or later the entire edifice of reputation, if built on lack of ethics, comes crumbling down. And once gone, the reputation cannot be repaired.
 
(2) NON-NEGATIVITY - While everyone talks about the importance of being positive, it’s practically difficult to be “the most positive person in the room” all the time. A good starting point would be to just be aware of negativity and avoid negativity - negative comments, negative behaviour & then negative thoughts
 
(3) HUMILITY - Some successful leaders may be cocky & overconfident but majority of them are humble and hence have wonderful interpersonal relationships too.
 
(4) ADAPTABILITY - Whether it is path breaking developments like ChatGPT or the fear of global recession, it’s an ever-changing VUCA World (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity & Uncertain) and successful leaders are nimble; they constantly adjust, adapt & change themselves (and their mindsets too) based on the demands of the situation.
 
(5) LEARNING - Life is too short and there is some much that we do not know and will never know till our end comes calling. Great leaders are good students throughout life. Being hungry to learn more all the time helps them to be consistently successful
 
(6) EXECUTION - There are too many strategists, dreamers & analysts around us who know what is right & wrong in the World but there are a few successful professionals who know how to convert ideas & plans into reality and also know how to lead & align others in the organization towards the common goals. And hence they are great leaders too.
